Weedon Island Preserve is a nicely maintained Pinellas county nature preserve, located just 5 miles North of downtown St Petersburg, FL. The preserve is more than 3,000 acres of Florida nature at its best; ranging from pine flatwoods, to tidal flats and mangrove forests.

The park has more than two miles of accessible boardwalks including multiple observation towers and platforms. The 45-foot tall Observation Tower offers an outstanding view across the mangroves to downtown St Petersburg.

There’s a healthy amount of wildlife to see within the preserve, including countless varieties of waterfowl, and small mammals.
