Bluff Regional Park is an easy hike on an easily accessed trail of just less than four miles in Littleton, CO. The 3.72 mile trail has an easy 200 feet of elevation change, but provides beautiful views of the Colorado Front Range, the Denver metro area, and local grassland vegetation and wildlife. The main trailhead has a large parking area, picnic shelter, and porta potties available.
The trail also has two short spurs that take you to overlooks within the park. The overlook trails are both about a quarter mile each way, adding approximately a mile of hiking that’s included in the 3.72 mile total.
The only catch is that the views are generally over suburban housing areas, but that drawback is offset by easy access for Douglas County residents from five different local connector trails around the park.
Bluff Regional Park’s trails are usually pretty busy with walkers and hikers from the surrounding neighborhoods. Horses and mountain bikes are allowed, but we didn’t see any when we were there.
