The Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail is a 75-mile, paved, multi-use trail extending from downtown St. Petersburg, Florida to Tarpon Springs. The Trail, created along a portion of abandoned railroad corridor, provides a unique, protected greenspace for walking, jogging, skating and biking. The bike trail runs East-West between St Petersburg and Treasure Island, and then North-South all the way to Tarpon Springs and beyond. The Pinellas Trail offers amazing views of the barrier islands, intercoastal waterway, and the Gulf of Mexico in addition to an up close view of St Petersburg’s diverse metropolitan area.

The Pinellas trail is also a kind of central hub for other bike trails in the city and surrounding areas. It offers connections to the Florida Coast-to-Coast trail, Druid Trail, Honeymoon Island Trail, Ream Wilson Trail, and Memorial Causeway Trail in the North. On the South end, it offers connections to the Skyway Trail and North Bay Trail.
